Travel means…

Don’t you feel like traveling to new places revitalizes your mind and spirit? It does to me! I’m Rodolfo Herrera, a college student that spends all his savings traveling and expanding my horizon.

Since childhood I’ve always had a strange attraction to new countries or places i have never visited. I have been blessed by my mother’s vast experience traveling to many countries, and it’s thanks to her that i love doing it, so it’s natural that i’ve developed an attraction to travel as well.

Traveling is such an enriching experience, it comes with so many benefits such as improving my social and communication skills. I love talking to locals and share my experiences and trade knowledge on what places they recommend me to visit. It’s a lot more complicated when you don’t speak the language, but that’s part of the fun!

Peace of Mind

Disconnecting from routine is the benefit i like the most from traveling. It reduces my stress significantly (traveling can also be a stressful experience if not prepared for it adequately.) Disconnecting from social media, from the people i know, from other’s opinions. Focusing in myself, just enjoying every second i have, trying new dishes, talking to people, walking in the streets. But most importantly, being able to let go everything… just relax.

During this time my Creativity increases exponentially, my thoughts are clear. My mind is at ease. And i use this time to focus on my life goals. Ask myself questions like:

“Where do i want to be next?”

“What’s the next adventure that waits for me?”

“What kind of people am i going to come across?”

Avoid anything that makes you worry about your daily routine, I personally do not recommend bringing homework if you are a student, or checking at your boss mail’s if you have a full time job. It’s vacation time, not “do your chores” in a new place.
